Blog: Citrus and Stone Shoot – In Our Showroom!

farm table rental kansas city

It was so much fun participating in this shoot, in part because of the great set of vendors, but also because it was shot in our very own showroom! It’s amazing what our space can look like when all dolled up (and very strategically photographed).

Madi Sanders of Madison Sanders Events organized the shoot and came up with the theme – Citrus and Stone. Madi envisioned a setting that incorporated lots of texture into a color palette with a very natural groundwork (browns, muted greens and grays)popped with citrus accents. Emily Walters of emmy-ray design studio took the concept and created gorgeous garlands and arrangements using clementines, kumquats, and tiny oranges from my grandparents’ greenhouse.

Along with providing the space, we got to use our brand new Farm Table (shown is the 6 ft prototype we first built, the final rental version will be 8 ft long), as well as our Modern Gold Flatware, Traditional Brass Candlesticks, Clear Glass Goblets, Whiskey Barrel, and Walnut Cake Stand. The Vintage Plate Company provided plates from their White Collection, and Bella Patina Vintage Shop generously let us borrow some vintage chairs. Cami from Cami’s Cakes made a gorgeous little naked cake (that was delicious as well, I may have stolen a bite or two).

Megan Ibarra of Little Yellow Leaf created an invitation suite that complemented the setting, using a beautiful calligraphic font and a dip-dyed effect on the response envelopes and escort cards.

To finish it all off, Brittany Scott from Something White Bridal Boutique provided some beautiful dresses, Kristen Fine of Stella and Dot provided some great statement jewelry pieces,  and Mikayla Crane from BeChic Bride completed the look by creating a stunning hair and make up design.

Cassandra Castaneda of Cassandra Castaneda Photography then did a superb job of capturing all the details, and making all of our hard work look amazing!  Head over to her blog to see her post with more photos from the shoot.
