Blog: Client Wedding – Leah and Josh

I had the pleasure of working with Leah and her mom, Sharon, on Leah and Josh’s wedding this past September. I met Leah and Sharon at the ReEvent, where I had half of the chuppah for my own wedding up as part of my display.  They were looking for something a lot like my chuppah, and I was wanting to develop one that was a lot easier to maintain and set up than mine was.  So my dad,  husband and I, after a lot of brainstorming, came up with a brand new branch chuppah especially for Leah and Josh’s wedding.  I think it turned out beautifully, and is an absolute cinch to set up!

Leah and Josh had a beautiful outdoor ceremony at Oakwood Country Club that our branch chuppah fit into perfectly. It couldn’t have been a better day for a wedding, as you can see from the gorgeous photos taken by the husband and wife team of Emily and Pete at Belltower Photography.

This is another wedding that Hitched Weddings + Events and I both did – but we were hired separately!   It was just a happy accident that we were both working on it. Amy and Jess wrapped English Ivy around the branches and we laid out across the top the tallitot that both the bride and groom’s families provided.

    Hi,

This is beautiful, but it was Laura that was with me. Leah lives in DC and Laura and I were scouting out table decor when we saw “The Chuppah” and sent Leah a picture of the chuppah.

We are very excited to work with you again in JUST a few months!
    Sharon

ah yes, sorry Sharon! I thought both of your daughters were there, but now I remember you guys having to check in with Leah about the chuppah. I’m excited for Laura’s chuppah, it’s going to be beautiful! I love the rope twist poles.
