I think candy buffets are a fun way to do wedding or party favors, and yet I have never gone to a wedding that has one. Boo!
When planning a candy buffet, having a consistent color helps gel it all together. However, using candy that has a special meaning to you or is your favorite is also a great way to personalize your event.
To make a complete looking candy buffet, it helps to have a bunch of different jars. The candy can really add up, so choose some bigger candy types to fill larger jars, or use cookies or baked goods to fill out tables.
A Kansas City resource for bulk candy is Mr. Bulky’s (apparently they still exist. I loved that store when I was a kid). There are still stores at the Great Mall in Olathe and Ward Parkway Mall. They will match online prices and you save on shipping.
